Back then, the beachside Piazza looked completely different. Red and white colors, a different staircase layout towards the beach and no elevator to the upstairs restaurant yet.
Even the large staircase upstairs faced a different direction than today — directly towards the sea.
Looking at old photos like this really shows how much even the most familiar places have changed over the decades.
