This certificate was given to my grandparents in 1982 as a recognition for 20 years of loyalty to Union Lido — signed by H. Neumann, the campsite’s first director.
The award was not presented exactly on the 20th anniversary, but symbolized many years of connection to the campsite.
Today, items like these may just seem like paper or souvenirs. But they actually tell stories about decades of summers, routines and family holidays at the same place.
